Alcohol checks with an alcohol detector for drivers will be mandatory from December 2023
Mandatory alcohol checks using alcohol detectors at business locations that require the appointment of a safe driving manager, etc., will begin in December 2023.
In accordance with Article 9-8 of the Enforcement Regulations of the Road Traffic Law, the appointment of a safe driving manager is required for any business that owns five or more vehicles with a seating capacity of 10 passengers or less or one or more vehicles with a seating capacity of 11 passengers or more per location.
At such workplaces, it is mandatory to conduct alcohol checks on crew members before and after work using an alcohol detector.
In addition to the penalties, drunk driving itself is an outrageous act.
As a company, no one will tolerate accidents to occur as a result of drunk driving.
